Lapis lazuli stamp seal from the Near East, Bronze Age, c2400-c2000 BC. Originally two figures faced each other on this broken seal; one has largely disappeared. The design at the top may depict rain clouds and rain or a fenced enclosure. Behind a man with his legs folded beneath him are a long-horned goat above a zebu, related in style to similar creatures depicted on seals from the Indus Valley civilization.
