The Lycurgus Cup, 4th CE. The cup shows the moment when Lycurgus is entrapped by the maenad Ambrosia in form of a vine. Dichroic glass cup with a mythological scene, the only complete example of this very special type of glass, which changes color when held up to the light. 16.5 cm (with modern mounts) x 13.2 cm. Inv.
