First Goetheanum, front (south) view, Dornach, Switzerland, 1922. The Goetheanum was built between 1913 and 1919 by the Austrian philosopher and social thinker Rudolf Steiner as the headquarters of his Anthroposophical movement. Built from wood and concrete, the building was destroyed by fire in 1922. It was replaced by a second Goetheanum, built entirely from concrete between 1924 and 1928. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
