The Vladimir Palace, built for Tsar Alexander II's son, Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, between 1867 and 1872, was converted into the House of Scientists by the Soviet authorities in 1920. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
