Great Exhibition, Hyde Park, London, 1851. Panoramic view of the Great Exhibition of 1851, held at Crystal Palace in Hyde Park, London. The upper half shows exhibits from France; the lower half shows exhibitions of paper goods, bookbinding, printing, fine arts and exhibits form Jersey and Gernsey, and machinery. People look at the exhibits, and appear in the balconies above each section. Designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, the Crystal Palace was later moved to Sydenham as part of an amusement park.
