Admiral Lord Walter Kerr and his officers on the quarterdeck of his flagship, HMS 'Majestic', 1896. Kerr (1839-1927) commanded the Channel Squadron from 1895 until 1897. In 1899 he was appointed First Sea Lord and was promoted to Admiral of the Fleet in 1904. A print from The Navy and Army Illustrated, 29th May 1896.
