The Royal Air Force Memorial, the Embankment, London, c1930s. Erected in 1923, this memorial commemorates the servicemen of the Royal Air Force (RAF) killed in World War I and subsequent conflicts. It was designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield and the eagle, which represents the one on the RAF badge, was sculpted by William Reid Dick.
