Stone Arch Bridge, St Anthony Falls and the milling district, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, 1915. Vintage postcard showing the Stone Arch Bridge crossing the Mississippi River at St Anthony Falls. The flour mills of Minneapolis' milling district can be seen on the far bank of the river. The bridge was built in 1883 by James J Hill for his Great Northern Railway. It ceased to be used as a railway bridge in 1978 and now carries a combined cycle path and footpath over the Mississippi.
