Lady Elizabeth Grey soliciting assistance and protection from Edward IV, (1793). Lady Elizabeth Grey (c1437-1492) was married to Sir John Grey, 7th Baron Ferrers of Groby, who was killed fighting on the Lancastrian side at the Battle of St Albans (1461) during the Wars of the Roses. Said to be the most beautiful woman in England, she married Edward in 1464. A engraving for Ashburton's History of England.
