Salters' Hall, London, 1828. To Alderman Venables, during whose mayoralty the edifice was completed, this plate is respectfully inscribed by the publisher. The new headquarters of the Salters' Company was completed in 1827. It was destroyed by German bombing raids on 10-11 May 1941.
