Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and Tsarina Alexandra, c1894-c1917. Nicholas II (1868-1918) became Tsar after his father Alexander III died on 1 November 1894. He married Princess Alix of Hesse (1872-1918) in November 1894. They and their children were murdered by the Bolsheviks in 1918 after being held prisoner after the Russian Revolution. Lantern slide.
