Hadley Highstone, near Barnet, 1805. Monument in commemoration of the Battle of Barnet (1471) between Edward IV and the Earl of Warwick during the Wars of the Roses. The obelisk was erected in 1740 by Sir Jeremy Sambrook. It is said to stand on the spot where Warwick made his last stand as the battle went against him.
