The historic meeting between Henry Morton Stanley (1841-1904) Welsh explorer and journalist, and David Livingstone (1813-1873) Scottish missionary and African explorer, at Ujiji on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, 10 November 1871. Stanley had been sent to locate Livingstone, who had gone missing after being taken ill. He greeted Livingstone with the famous words Dr Livingstone, I presume?. Lantern slide.
