Interior of the library at Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex, 1994. Artist: Paul Highnam
Interior of the library at Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex, 1994. The house was constructed in the early 17th century and is one of the most significant Jacobean houses in England. A plaque on the side of the Broadwood grand piano, no longer in the library, commemorates a recital given by Chopin on the instrument in Edinburgh.
