Tower of London from Tower Bridge, London, c1945-c1965. Artist: SW Rawlings
Tower of London from Tower Bridge, London, c1945-c1965. People stroll by the river and enjoy the view. The four turrets belong to the White Tower, the largest tower on the site which occupies a central postion. On its completion in 1097 the tower provided accommodation for the king, but in later centuries was used as a prison, armoury and military store.
