The Albert Bridge, Chelsea Embankment, London, c1945-c1965. The Albert Bridge, built in 1871-3 by RM Ordish and viewed here from the foreshore on the south bank, is a suspension bridge supported by two pairs of ornate cast iron towers. The Cadogan Pier is visible beyond it, together with what appears to be a temporary bridge.
