Market Cross, Wymondham, Norfolk, 1924. The Market Cross at Wymondham, built 1617-18 to replace the medieval structure lost in the fire of 1615. The upper floor of this octagonal structure is carried on decorated arched braces; the plaster infill is also decorated, a technique common to East Anglia. The space below is surrounded by railings.
