The refectory, Cleeve Abbey, Somerset, 1999. Cleeve Abbey was founded as a Cistercian monastery in 1198 and many of the surviving buildings date from the 13th century. The tiled floor of the 13th century refectory survives intact. The later refectory was on the first floor of the 15th century south range (seen behind).
