Roof bosses at Eltham Palace, London, 1999. Artist: J Bailey
Roof bosses at Eltham Palace, London, 1999. The Great Hall of Eltham Palace survives from the royal palace built for Edward IV in the 1470s. The remains were extended in the 1930s to create a country house. The 'lemur' roof boss in the decorated ceiling of the oriel bay was inserted at this time.
