In the days before a television occupied the corner of every living room, companies had to undertake promotional tours to bring their message to the people. In 1960, during one of these promotions, Lyons Maid held a dance in the South Yorkshire town of Mexborough to promote the consumption of milk. The photograph shows a couple dancing and a further goup talking under a promotional display for Northern Daries.
