Exterior of the Royston Working Men's Club Barnsley, South Yorkshire, 1962. Artist: Michael Walters
Exterior of the Royston Working Men's Club Barnsley, South Yorkshire, 1962. This is typical of the style of working men's clubs which were constructed during the 1950s and 1960s. Although some have been demolished to make way for new housing developments, many still stand today. A 1952 Fordson van from the contractors Wade Construction stands outside.
