Mini van being washed in a car wash, Co-op garage, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, 1965. An Austin Mini van from the North Lindsey Water Board stands in the car wash at the Co-op Garage in Scunthorpe in 1965. The Mini van was made between 1960 and 1982 and proved to be a popular alternative to the car, as it was classed as a commercial vehicle and therefore carried no sales tax. 521,494 were built during its 22 year production run.
