Recently completed Doncaster North Bus Station, South Yorkshire, 1967. Artist: Michael Walters
Recently completed Doncaster North Bus Station, South Yorkshire, 1967. Doncaster has two bus stations, one North and one South, which serve different areas. This one is adjacent to the railway station and a Leeds bus and a Barnsley bus can be seen. As with a great number of the bland, late 1960s concrete structures, the station and multi-storey car park had a limited life span and were totally redeveloped in 2007 to include an extension to the adjacent Frenchgate Shopping Centre, increased parking facilities and an updated bus terminus travel centre.
