Church of St Swithin and the London Stone, Cannon Street, City of London, c1830. Said to be the spot from which the Romans measured all distances in Britannia, the London Stone is an ancient oolite stone that was set into the wall of St Swithin's Church. The church was destroyed in a German bombing raid during the Second World War but the Stone was left unscathed.
