Ivan Logginovitch Goremykin, Russian statesman, late 19th or early 20th century.
Ivan Logginovitch Goremykin, Russian statesman, late 19th or early 20th century. After serving as Interior Minister from 1895 until 1899, Goremykin (1839-1917) twice served as Prime Minister of Imperial Russia, in 1906 and then from 1914 to 1916. On both occasions his conservative views and opposition to demands for reforms gained him the hostility of the Duma and members of the Council of Ministers. Found in the collection of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, Moscow.
