Prototype Hawker Hurricane being test flown by Flight Lieutenant PWS Bulman, c1935 (1941). PWS 'George' Bulman was Chief Test Pilot for Hawker Aircraft from 1925. He made the first flight in many of the company's aircraft, including the Hurricane, which he first piloted in 1935.
