Death of Henry V, 1422 (1790).Artist: Bromley
Death of King Henry V of England, 1422 (1790). The son of Henry IV, Henry (1387-1422) became king in 1413. He is popularly regarded as one of England's greatest kings, primarily because of his exploits in war against the French, beginning with his victory at Agincourt in 1415. He died near Paris in August 1422, apparently from dysentery caught during the siege of Meaux.
