Riseley Windmill, Riseley, Bedfordshire, 1933. Artist: HES Simmons
Riseley Windmill, Riseley, Bedfordshire, 1933. A post mill dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of timber on a brick base. The wooden frame of the mill could be rotated around the central post to keep the sails permanently facing into the wind. It has now been demolished and was derelict in 1933 when this picture was taken.
