King Edward V of England, (1788). Portrait of Edward (1470-1483) who came to the throne at the age of twelve. Edward was king from 9 April 1483 until his deposition two months later. His uncle, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, had Edward and his younger brother Richard, Duke of York, imprisoned in the Tower of London where they were probably murdered. Below is a vignette of the two brothers.
