Royal Albert Bridge, Saltash, Cornwall, 1954. This bowstring tubular plate girder railway bridge over the River Tamar connects Devonport in Devon to Saltash in Cornwall. Built by the engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859), work began on the bridge in 1848 and was completed in 1859.
