The Battle of Orsha was fought in present day Belarus between the armies of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland on one side, and the Grand Duchy of Moscow on the other and was part of a long-running conflict to secure control of the former lands of Kievan Rus.
