Fleishhacker Swimming Pool and Playground, San Francisco, California, USA, 1932. Vintage linen postcard showing the world's largest outdoor, heated swimming pool and the surrounding grounds. Dozens of bathers sit on the grass in the foreground. Opened in 1925, the pool measured 300 by 50 metres and held 24,600,000 litres of seawater, pumped in from the Pacific, filtered and heated. It was demolished in 2000.
