'Oom Paul Consulting the Time Table', 1900. Satirical cartoon showing Boer leader Paul Kruger, President of the South African Republic (Transvaal), reading one of a series of railway timetables with his belongings packed alongside him. In October 1900 he left South Africa for exile aboard a Dutch warship. A print from Black and White Budget Vol III, WJP Monckton, London, June 16th 1900.
