Jean Bouin, French soldier and athlete, 1912. Bouin (1888-1914) competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London and at the 1912 Games in Stockholm, where he won a silver medal in the 5000 metres. A sergeant in the French Army in World War I, he was killed near Saint-Michel, Marne.
