Ambush, Bronze Age rock carving, Tanum, V?stra G?taland, Sweden. The rock carvings at Tanum on the west coast of Sweden date from c1800-c500 BC. Portraying a range of subjects including people, animals, boats, agriculture and hunting, the illustrations offer a fascinating insight into the life of people in the Bronze Age. The carvings were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994.
