Jade bi-disc with silkworm decoration, Western Han dynasty, China, 206 BC-8 AD. A jade bi-disc of brownish green colour with some white patches. The piece is decorated on both faces with tightly curled silkworms between lined slightly raised borders. There is a central hole of 3.5cm diameter, double the width of the decorated band.
