Jade Buddhist disciple, Qing dynasty, China, c1800. A white jade figure of a half-kneeling Buddhist disciple with outstretched hands holding an ointment jar. There are tassels hanging from his head-dress and belt, the piece is very thinly carved on an integral plinth of half circle shape sliced horizontally.
