Jade bird with peach on rock, late Ming dynasty, China, 1550-1644. A carved yellowish-white jade with brown flecks and patches in the form of a bird seated on a holey rock. The bird's head is turned back towards the tail and it is holding a fruiting peach branch in its beak.
