Blue and white tea cup, early Kangxi period, Qing dynasty, China, 1662-1683. A small blue and white shallow cup with slightly flared rim decorated with wet splashed and pencil drawn decoration in the style of the 'Master of the Rocks'. The interior is decorated with a pavilion by a lake, the exterior with a river and landscape scene of a sampan, trees and pavilions in the same style. The blue is of particularly good colour. The base has a three character private mark surrounded by a double circle in underglaze blue.
