Aubergine kinrande dish, Jiajing period, Ming dynasty, China, 1522-1566. A small kinrande aubergine dish of begonia blossom shape. The centre has traces of gold enamel depicting fruit and flowers and shou (longevity) character. The rim has a plain gold border. The base has a yellow glaze.
