King Edward V, one of the 'Princes in the Tower', c1880. The son of Edward IV, King Edward V (1470-1483) was King of England from April to June 1483 but was never crowned. Under the 'protection' of his uncle the Duke of Gloucester (Richard III), he was taken to the Tower of London with his brother and neither boy was ever seen again.
