Yue stoneware boshanlu censer, late Western Jin dynasty, China, c300. A Yue brown-spotted boshanlu censer with bird finial and brown spots. The incense container sits on a pedestal, the cover has three rings of four stylised petalled mountain peaks each hiding one circular aperture, the top is surmounted by a small bird. The whole cover is covered by a yellowish glassy celadon glaze of Yue type with brown spots, the cover also impressed with stars under the glaze. From a Zhejiang province kiln, probably the Shanglinhu kiln.
