Cizhou-type sancai tiger pillow, Jin dynasty, China, 12th century. A large sancai pillow in the form of a tiger with pointed oval top incised with large lotus flower and leaves painted in brown and green. The tiger has a long, many-sectioned tail glazed with an amber glaze with dark brown stripes.
