Gilt bronze Buddha, Tibet, 15th century. Buddha with long pendulant ears and extensive neck folds. The figure is seated on a double lotus petal throne in the earth touching gesture (bhumisparsa mudra). The features are all in the lower half of the face. The lotus petals are deeply carved in relief and extend all round the lotus throne.
