Jizhou bowl, Southern Song dynasty, Jiangxi province, China, 1127-1279. Conical Jizhou bowl with paper-cut unspeckled six-petalled flowers against a speckled ground in the interior. The exterior is partly glazed with a temmoku glaze over a reddish slip that stops short of the unglazed or unslipped base. The rim is thickened as commonly found at this period.
