Blue and white dish, Qing dynasty, mid Kangxi, China, 1683-1700.
Blue and white dish, Qing dynasty, mid Kangxi, China, 1683-1700. Foliated blue and white dish decorated in the centre with archers on horseback, hunting a hare in a rocky landscape. There is a wide border of three of the Eight Precious Objects repeated and divided by lotus and lingzhi swags. The exterior has repeated panels of tulip flowers. The base has a six-character Chenghua mark, but the piece dates to the middle period of the Kangxi reign.
