The lid is decorated with a seascape with figures in a pavilion and in boats on a stylized wave-pattern pierced ground. The body has designs of precious objects in relief on a ring-punched background. There are traces of gilding on the whole piece. The flat bottom has a seal mark of 'Hu Wenming zhi'.
