Jizhou mountain-shaped water dropper, Song/Yuan dynasty, Jiangxi province, China, 13th century. Small Jizhou moulded five-peaked mountain-shaped water dropper. The mouth has scrolling clouds bellowing forth with a transparent brown glaze overall that stops short of the unglazed base. The lower third is modelled with fish-like scales. The glaze pools in the recesses of the moulded naturalistic decoration.
