Qingbai box with moulded peonies, Yuan dynasty, China, 1279-1368. Small qingbai covered box with moulded decoration consisting of fluted sides on base and cover. The centre of the cover has two overlapping peony flowers with spiky leaves. The pale blue glaze covers the cover to its rim and the base about half way down. The exposed areas are oxidized.
