Qingbai water dropper, Yuan dynasty, China, 1279-1368.
Qingbai water dropper, Yuan dynasty, China, 1279-1368. Small qingbai water dropper with moulded figure of a boy reclining with legs crossed next to a large wine jar with separate hollow stopper for dropping water. Both appear on a flat hexagonal base (athough moulded underneath, as probably originally a cover for a scholar's seal paste container) with bowl and bird. The glaze has a sky blue tinge.
